Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 07:34PM I think my hubby is just about ready to make an appearance on "This Old House." I'm really proud of him! I thought I'd show you a sample of his hard work.
Welcome to our new kitchen...
You can click on the image to get a better view.
Everything looks wonderful and we are all amazed by his hidden talent. Although very proud of himself for the accomplishment, he gave one small piece of advice...
"PAY SOMEBODY TO DO IT FOR YOU!"![]()

Sunday, June 15, 2008 at 10:38AM Life has a tendency to take over. I can't believe it's been 2 months since I posted an entry. Lots of things have changed in two months! Let's see...
Must go clean the den now. More later...
Sunday, April 13, 2008 at 08:42PM Today was my 1 month anniversary in Weight Watchers and I've lost 9 to 10 pounds (it fluctuates a little). This week has been a little tough but I hope to get better with my eating habits over the next few weeks.
Having to do the responsible thing can make me want to eat when I shouldn't. I made myself handle all those dreaded things I've been avoiding for too long. This included filing taxes and closing down Mystic Sun for good. We haven't lost hope of selling the sauce. This just wasn't our time.
Maybe now things will improve and I can look forward to Yellowstone!

Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 03:21PM They can't! It makes my heart ache. I just read this article on MSN about allowing folks to hunt gray wolves. NO! I know I don't live there and the locals my have a different opinion but there has got to be a better way!
I've already spilled my feelings on developers and the asphalt take-over as well as the slaughter of the mountain gorillas. Why do we have to kill everything?? I'm not trying to go off on a rant nor am I attempting to spark a debate. I'm voicing my concerns hoping that if we put our minds to it, we can find ways to coexist with animals. Surely there is a more humane alternative to hunting them down. This is just wrong!

Friday, March 21, 2008 at 06:57PM Years ago, I had to learn to make myself eat. Believe me when I tell you that life with an eating disorder is about more than being fat. I didn't see myself as fat or thin. I didn't eat because it was the only thing I could control at the time...and I AM a control freak! Whether you see yourself as fat or not, this way of life is a sure path to a distorted body image.
I gained a considerable amount of weight when I quit smoking and IC belly didn't help much. Not only did the extra weight cause health problems, I felt huge. Regardless of what other people saw, the image I saw in the mirror was a horrible mess. The self-esteem was out the window!
Here I am again (too many years later to mention) learning how to eat right. Weight Watchers' must be working because am am down 5 lbs. since my start date. I am very thankful Vickie kept encouraging me to join. For me, this is a safe way to avoid either extreme.
I have learned that some foods that are OK in Weight Watchers' are not OK for those with IC. Yogurt and apples are not my friends! However, we do LUV us some blueberries!!
Word to the wise...One Reuben will cost you almost the entire day's worth of points!! Ahhh, live and learn.
